Who: The Caulfield Beats
What: This smoky little 8-bit cyclone of synthesized swirls will definitely stir up a thing or two. The man is playing a couple hometown shows this Spring, so unless you’re kickin’ it live in London, look below for a taste. Thanks to The Mixtape for looking out.

Who: Adam Kesher
What: What’s that? You just picked up the first single from Adam Kesher’s upcoming album Challenging Nature, produced by Dave 1 and mixed by ze legendary Zdar? We give it the big thumbs up, but clocking in at just 2:37 I’ve got to admit we’re already pretty hungry for more. The album drops in May, so mark the calendar and boogie avec cette chanson fraîche.

Who: Malachai
What: Dusting off that 1970’s-era British rock come Bristol boys, Malachai. They’ve got a seriously gritty psychedelic-rock vibe happening. Geoff Barrow of Portishead helped mentor these guys, co-writing the track “Only For You” and releasing their first full-length on his label, Invada. Their album is called “Ugly Side Of Love,” which you can pick up when they hit Austin (not Boston) for some SxSW showcasing.

Who: Rockets
What: Take a trip into Butterfly Bones’ cold “Crystal Caves” with this mellow little remix from Rockets. We just got our hands on it, and that wet synth has been dripping out of my computer speakers all afternoon long. Show this guy a little love a la MySpace or Twitter, and feel free to grab the track below.

Who: Carte Blanche
What: Dieu protège la Carte Blanche.

Who: KiD COLA
What: Don’t get me wrong, I like the original version by Hot Chip. Their mix just seems top heavy with those big violins, great vocals, and such an underwhelming bottom end. KiD COLA has chopped up those strings, reworked the beat, and added a quick, clean bass sound that makes this track so much grittier. His mix isn’t especially complex, but check out how far forward he pulled it while staying true to the original.

Who: Moonchild
What: Good god damn this has me bouncing like a motherfucker. Sydney-based producer Moonchild has been beaming down the sweet filtered house and fatty disco beats all over Australia, and I got to admit he’s slaying it. When it gets to be 3:30 AM and you still can’t seem to kick this song off repeat, check out his first mixtape, “Moonchild Begins,” which promises nothing but that dry, pure house sound that you can snag right here for free. Huge thanks to Stoney Roads for the heads up.
