Who: Atlas Sound

What: Don’t put away your shades and your beach towel yet, this new Noah Lennox (Panda Bear) collaboration with Atlas Sound is going to be stretching out the summer well into October. “Walkabout”, the first track off of Atlas Sound’s upcoming album Logos (due out Oct. 20 via Kranky Records), has been floating through the warm, sunny airwaves and putting a big smile on everybody’s face the past couple of days. Nothing could be more relaxing than Bradford Cox (Atlas Sound) and Panda Bear softly layering vocals over such a feel-good summer track (which happens to sample another, slightly older, summer classic “What Am I Going To Do” by The Dovers). So pick up the track, hit the pool, and light up that barbeque, because if “Walkabout” is anything like the rest of the album, we’re gonna be enjoying this summer for a long time to come.
