What: Give in to that warm, dark disco-funk, because the good people at Modular have announced that Bag Raiders are joining the premiere league.

Modular is very proud to announce that Sydney duo Bag Raiders are now a part of the Modular premiere league. Bag Raiders new single, Shooting Stars is the first release in Modular’s new collaboration with The Bang Gang Deejays in-house label, Bang Gang 12 Inches, and will be out August 14.

Even after joining the Modular crew and releasing their Shooting Stars EP in August (scope the video for the single here, directed by Ron Winter), Bag Raiders are covering their bases and throwing out some pretty incredible remixes; keeping the old school soul sound alive in modern electro-funk with their take on Chromeo’s “Call Me Up”, and giving Cut Copy’s “Far Away” a harddisco twist. But no matter what mix it takes to get you dancing, if you want to make it a good weekend, make it a Bag Raiders weekend.
