Who: Coconut Records

What: Good god we’re starting to get antsy around here. Too many amazing albums coming out early this year. But for starters, here’s a slight departure from the usual electro and digital love we like to spread around here… it’s just too amazing to pass up. If you’re not familiar, Coconut Records is the solo indie music project that Jason Schwartzman has been working on for the past few years. When he’s not writing or acting, he’s been busy distributing his debut album Nighttiming that came out in 2007, and building the hype for the upcoming release of Davy slated for later this January. After hearing a few tracks from the new album, it’s pretty safe to say it’s gonna be absolutely incredible; and to be honest, I think it’s just a matter of time before somebody sees how damn funky “Nighttiming” is and remixes the hell out of it. You can pick up the album on iTunes here, or off of his MySpace here. So dooo it.
